From 28-30 October 2024, our research network gathered 17 participants for the 2nd workshop for doctoral peace and conflict researchers in Bavaria.

The workshop, held at the Franken-Akademie in Lichtenfels, offers a forum for the discussion and elaboration of doctoral projects. In addition, it provides networking opportunities for peace and conflict researchers in the region.

With the participation of the post-docs of our network, we discussed doctoral projects on a variety of virulent topics in peace and conflict research, including the revolution in Sudan, the end of UN peacekeeping missions, the opportunities and risks of conflict mappings, the role of conflict narratives, memory activism, and other important issues.

The workshop series is organized by Michaela Zöhrer (Chair of Political Science, Peace and Conflict Research at the University of Augsburg), as part of Conflicts.Meanings.Transitions with the support of the BMBF.
